Message from the President

 Dear Colleagues,
It is with a deep sense of pride and responsibility that I address you today. Over the past decade, our profession has undergone major developments that deserve recognition, and it is important for me to share with you a clear perspective on the progress achieved, the challenges ahead, and the paths we must follow to continue our development.
Over the last ten years, our Order has experienced a strong dynamic of structuring, modernization, and openness. We have consolidated our institutions, strengthened our role within the national economic ecosystem, and affirmed our presence on the international stage. The digitization of our procedures, the modernization of our digital portal, and our active membership in regional and global organizations such as FIDEF, PAFA, and IFAC represent key milestones that have elevated our profession to a higher level of recognition and standards. We have also contributed to major national reforms, notably the revision of Law 10-01, aimed at modernizing the regulatory framework and reinforcing the role of the chartered accountant within the economy.
These achievements reflect the seriousness, vision, and collective commitment of all members of the Order, our committees, permanent staff, and institutional partners. Above all, they demonstrate our determination to build a strong, modern, and sustainable profession.
However, the future calls for anticipation and vigilance. The rapid transformations affecting the professional world directly challenge us: increasing digitalization of professions, the growing importance of sustainability reporting, greater economic complexity, and heightened expectations in terms of ethics, transparency, and responsibility. Our ability to meet these challenges will determine our position in the national economy and our contribution to the country’s development.
To achieve this, several strategic orientations are essential. We must strengthen the specialization of our members and ensure competencies aligned with international standards. We must support the digital transformation of firms by facilitating access to modern tools and encouraging new professional practices. We also have a duty to enhance the attractiveness of our profession by offering younger generations a dynamic, demanding, and opportunity-driven environment. Finally, international openness, cooperation with foreign counterparts, and active participation in global standard-setting work must remain at the core of our actions.
All these ambitions can only be realized through collective commitment and a strong sense of professional duty. We bear the responsibility of preserving the legacy of those who came before us while building the foundations of a stronger, more modern, and more influential profession. By uniting our efforts, sharing our knowledge, and remaining faithful to the principles of integrity, competence, and solidarity, we will be able to support the transformations of our environment and meet the expectations of our country.
I am convinced that the years ahead will open new perspectives for our Order and for each of its members. Together, with determination and a spirit of fraternity, we will continue to advance our profession and affirm its essential role in serving the economy and the public interest.
With my highest fraternal regards,

Abdelkrim Bouhouche
President of the National Council National Order of Chartered Accountants
People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria
